My name is Isabel Albuerne, and I am known as “The Event Lady”. I am an experienced retired wedding planner and officiant, quince coordinator, and master of ceremonies, who for the last 29 years has coordinated beautiful weddings and magnificent quince-sweet sixteen celebrations in tropical Florida.
I am the original Event Lady in the wedding and quince trade in Florida, and have used this as my trade name, and my pen name as a writer for many, many years.
My event planning career, begun on the busy East Coast of Miami, where I owned The Wedding and Party Corner Inc.
back in 2002, I re-located to Naples, where I established Florida Weddings and Special Events.For the past nine years I have called the "Paradise Coast"; SW Florida my home.
As a SW Florida planner of wedding and quince celebrations, with years of experience, I saw a real need for a regional Florida quince and bridal print bilingual magazine that would truly capture the essence of the Florida brides and quinceañera young ladies in these communities, so I published a print magazine that would inform brides and quinceañeras, all the great regional resources they could call upon to assist in their event planning.
I launched my own publication in 2006, and as the Editor, along with my Co-Publisher, my husband Carlos Albuerne, offered the first Hispanic- owned, bridal and quince, full glossy-color printed magazine of the SW Floridaarea, better known today as "Florida Weddings and Special Events" now published totally "Green" and paperless on the Web.
Today, we continue as wedding media in a blog style publication offering resources for our diverse communities in the Sunshine State.
As a long time veteran in this industry; I proudly offer marketing and advertising opportunities to those in the special event industry as well. Our blog helps promote and market bridal and quince businesses at affordable rates. We assist in providing information on quince parties, which are very similar to weddings, but without a groom of course!
